The Release Mechanism

A frequency's continuous output is not an ownable work. A Release is a separate and explicit action taken by a person: select a tick range, make editorial decisions, record them, and publish the result under a name.

The edit log#

Every decision; trim, layer, sequence, mix or EQ; is recorded with a timestamp as it is made. The log is hashed, and that hash is what a creator attests to. The log is the evidence of authorship: not that a system produced sound, but that a person chose this span and made these decisions about it.

Legal position#

This is not legal advice. A frequency's continuous output is not, on its own, eligible for copyright protection under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance. A documented Release may be independently protectable; copyright status can vary by output and jurisdiction.
