What is Signal

Signal is a launchpad for frequencies. A frequency is a deterministic generative system ; a state space, a step function, a seed, and a tick trigger; that runs continuously and produces sound as a by-product of its own evolution. It is not a track, not a playlist, and not a model that guesses what music should sound like.

What a launch consists of#

• · A complete specification anyone can re-run from the seed.
• · A provenance document stating what the work draws on and what it does not claim to be.
• · Listenability bounds fixing scale, tempo, voice count, and envelope before launch.
• · A funding rule that routes the residual majority of fees to the runtime escrow.
• · A burn of $SIGNAL, recorded on chain, that gates registration.

What Signal is not#

Signal does not host audio files, does not sell recordings, and does not publish market figures. Anyone can verify and replay a frequency from its published specification.
